Maidman's removals is the first company in the UK
to gain all three BSI quality standards relevant to the removals
industry.
Managing director Brian Maidman received his latest awards for
the standards governing both storage and commercial moves at the
British Association of Removers (BAR) annual conference.
His company had already gained the BSI quality standard for
residential moves in 2001.
He said: "We determined several years ago to place our company
well ahead of the average removals firm, and we achieved it through
training and quality. We are leading where other removers
follow."
"Maidman's has always provided an excellent service for companies
relocating their offices and commercial premises. This new standard
allows us to demonstrate the quality of our service by having it
assessed independently by BSI."
The award for commercial moving is a new BSI standard only
announced this year and described as a mark of excellence for all
moving companies involved in the commercial and office moving
sector.
It was developed over three years by BAR, customers, other
interested groups and BSI (British Standards Institution) and sets
the standard for all aspects of the commercial moving operation.
Brian was chairman of the sub committee of the BAR's Commercial
Movers Group national council during the process.
BAR rates the standard so highly that its Commercial Moving Group
has announced that all new and existing members must now achieve the
standard as a compulsory minimum requirement for
membership. |
