Historic Poole company James Bros has relocated
its offices from Hamworthy to Fleets Lane, Poole.
The structural engineers, which had been based in Hamworthy since
1935, designs, fabricates and erects structural steelwork and
cladding for commercial, industrial, leisure and residential
buildings.
The move follows a management buy-out in 2006 and a relocation of
its manufacturing facility to Holton Heath last year. It needed a
more amenable site away from the Poole lifting bridge.
Director John Charles said: "It's great to have a fresh start -
we've had new management and now we have better offices and works
for the start of 2008."
The latest move of offices and archives was handled by
Bournemouth Airport-based Maidman's. John said: ""Maidman's was very
professional, organisation was superb, all the staff very friendly
and it all went very smoothly."
Recently James Bros produced the highly-visible external
steelwork at Poole Museum and the latest buildings at Tower
Park.
The steadily expanding company has 47 staff and a turnover of
around £6.5 million.
